It’s almost as hard as kihap-ing for me. It’s more of a TAP-BANG or it’s all in the hips — ROTATE! It’s all confusing. Of course it looks easy watching from the side, but it’s just a completely different story when you’re expected to perform it. I’m not getting what my master calls the tap (first kick).
I should probably give myself a bit more credit. I’m only a yellow belt after all and I did get complemented for remembering kicks and forms that most would forget after only a month, so I’m told. It’s a work in progress I suppose. Today was only my first day back after months of no taekwondo, I shouldn’t expect perfection.
